Маршрут
The Busan–Geoje Fixed Link (or Geoga Bridge) is an 8.2 kilometers (5.1 mi) bridge-tunnel fixed line that connects the South Korean city of Busan to Geoje Island. The name of the bridge is Geoga Bridge (거가 대교). The route opened on December 13, 2010 and shortens the travelling distance between Geoje Island and Busan by about 60 kilometers (37 mi). The new road has two lanes in each direction and carries National Road 58.
Maemiseong Fortress is a wall that was built alone by citizen Baek Soon-sam to protect crops from natural disasters, who lost arable land to Typhoon Maemi in 2003. Repeatedly stacking square stones near the beach and filling them with cement has now become a castle reminiscent of medieval times in Europe. Its scale and design are so great that it is hard to believe that it was built without a single blueprint.
he Windy Hill refers to a hill at the end of the fishing village of Dojangpo, located at the entrance to the Haegeumgang Islets, upon which a windmill can be found. Its name comes from the area being very windy, thanks to its geographical features. The plants that grow on the hill also tend to be short in stature because of the wind.
inseondae Observatory, located between Dojangpo Maeul and Haegeumgang, offers picturesque views of the fantastically shaped rocks against the deep-blue ocean hues. "Sinseon" in Korean means supernatural beings; the beauty of this spot is said to attract such beings to come frolic. The blue and yellow colors layered on the rocks tell a unique history of the terrain. A stairway from the road leads directly to the lookout point.
Hakdong Mongdol Beach, filled with small black pebbles, spans a distance of 1.2 kilometers and a width of 50 meters, covering a 30,000 ㎡ area. Walking on the pebbles stimulates acupressure points on the soles of feet, providing health benefits for visitors. Unlike other beaches on the southern part of the country, the water of Hakdong Mongdol Beach is deep with rough waves, but various water activities are available.
edo-Botania is a marine botanical garden located on an island in Hallyeohaesang National Park between Tongyeong and Geojedo Island. What started over 30 years ago as a private garden has expanded to cover the entire island in a plethora of plants in European-style gardens, accented by scultures and statues.
