行程
Located near the DMZ in Paju, Imjingak Peace Nuri Park symbolizes Korea’s hope for reunification. The vast riverside park features the Freedom Bridge, remnants of the Korean War, and art installations made from barbed wire and peace messages. Visitors can stroll across green fields dotted with wind-powered sculptures and reflect on Korea’s divided past and aspirations for peace.
Discovered in 1978, the Third Infiltration Tunnel is a vivid reminder of Cold War tensions. Secretly dug by North Korea, the tunnel stretches more than 1.6 kilometers toward Seoul and could have allowed thousands of soldiers to pass through within an hour. Visitors can walk a portion of the tunnel wearing safety helmets and learn about its discovery at the DMZ Exhibition Hall, which highlights ongoing efforts toward peace and security.
Situated on Mount Dora, the Dora Observatory offers a rare glimpse across the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) into North Korea. From the viewing platform, you can see Kaesong City, North Korean propaganda villages, and the surrounding landscapes through high-powered binoculars. It’s one of the closest points where civilians can safely look into North Korea, providing a powerful perspective on the peninsula’s division.
Unification Village is a small farming community located just south of the DMZ. Established to promote peace and coexistence, it’s known for its clean air, organic crops, and unique position within the civilian control zone. Visitors can taste local specialties like soybean products and ginseng, shop for regional goods, and experience everyday life close to the border.
Hongjecheon Artificial Waterfall is a tranquil urban retreat created as part of Seoul’s stream restoration project. Visitors can watch water cascade gracefully down a broad stone wall into the Hongjecheon Stream, framed by lush greenery and well-maintained walking paths. Guests are free to enjoy a leisurely riverside stroll, capture beautiful photos of the waterfall and surrounding scenery, or simply relax while taking in the soothing sound of flowing water.
