    Tapgol Park is a public park located in central Seoul, near Insadong. It was here in 1919 that the March 1st Korean Independence Movement began, a nationwide protest calling for Korea’s independence from Japanese colonial rule. The park is also briefly featured in Squid Game Season 2, Episode 1, “Bread and Lottery.” In the scene, the recruiter hands out lottery tickets and bread to homeless people before stamping on the remaining bread.
