Gongsanseong Fortress is a fortification situated at the heart of Gongju, which served as the capital of the ancient Baekje kingdom (18 BCE - 660 CE) from 475 to 538. Even after Baekje's fall, subsequent dynasties such as Silla (57 BCE - 935 CE), Goryeo (918-1392), and Joseon (1392-1897) continued to use Gongju as a regional administrative center. As a result, numerous historical sites have accumulated in the area over time. From the fortress, visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of Gongju's city center and the Geumgang River.

Opened in 2022, the Ulsan Art Museum is the first public art museum in the city. It promotes local culture and provides a space for sharing and experiencing experimental art. Reflecting Ulsan's identity as an industrial capital in harmony with nature, the museum features immersive media art using the latest technologies such as VR, AR, and MR.

The market is divided into three main sections of live fish, dried seafood, and food items. The live fish section uses clean seawater drawn from a dedicated seawater pipeline 400 meters deep, ensuring freshness. The dried seafood section features products processed and sun-dried in sea breeze at an on-site facility located on the market's rooftop. In the food item section, visitors can purchase local specialties such as Yeosu-style gat kimchi and salted seafood. The night market features a variety of fresh seafood-based street foods, attracting crowds. Since the launch of the Viking Night Market in 2016, the area has become even livelier, packed with attractions to see and enjoy.

The Haeundae Light Festival features light sculptures, media art exhibitions, and various performances, creating healing spaces and urban art spaces in the city center.

A luge is a cart ride driven downhill on a track. Vivaldi Park in Hongcheon offers Luge on its ski slopes during summer, spring, and fall. It is popular as a leisure sport to enjoy high speed even in the off-season when skiing is not possible. Guests of Vivaldi Park Resort can receive discounts, and Luge World guests may also use resort facilities. Tickets are sold based on the number of times one will ride. Jeongdongjin Station is known as the train station located closest to the ocean in the nation. Built in 1962, the area had as many as 5,000 people during the mining period, but decreased into a small fishing village of under 2,000 after the government's coal industry reform policies went into action. In the early 1990s the train rarely stopped at the station due to minimal passengers, but it gained popularity after appearing in the drama “Sandglass (1995)” and is also widely famous for its sunrise view. The Sunrise Train, a six-hour course from Cheongnyangni Station to Jeongdongjin Station, was added to accommodate more visitors. Other attractions nearby include Jeongdongjin Beach, hourglass tree and more.
