Busan High School of Arts is a specialized arts high school that educates students in various artistic fields. The school provides high-level education particularly in modern dance, fine arts, and music, and is known for being the alma mater of BTS's Jimin. Jimin majored in modern dance at Busan High School of Arts and made history by becoming the first student to be admitted as the top of his entire department. He later moved to Seoul to pursue his dream of becoming a K-pop star. Busan High School of Arts not only recognized Jimin's talent and contributions during his time at the school but also honored him afterward by awarding him an honorary diploma. Additionally, Jimin has shown continuous support for his alma mater by making several donations. He donated new desks and chairs for all 1,200 students and provided scholarships to students in need, supporting them in various ways
Seodong Maze Market, a traditional market with a history spanning approximately 40 years, is renowned for its intricate maze-like alleyways. The market is adorned with murals and artworks created by local artists, making it a vibrant and visually captivating destination. This market is a beloved spot for both locals and tourists, offering a variety of traditional foods and fresh produce. Street food favorites like tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) and gimbap (Korean sushi rolls) are particularly popular here. A must-visit for BTS fans is Matna Bunsik, a snack shop frequently visited by Jimin during his childhood.
One of the must-visit attractions in Busan is the Oryukdo Skywalk, a place that holds a special connection to BTS's Jimin. Oryukdo, which translates to "Five-Six Island," is known for its unique geological feature where the number of visible islands changes with the tide. The Skywalk is a glass-bottom bridge built on a coastal cliff, offering stunning views of the sea and the surrounding islets. In early 2015, Jimin visited Oryukdo and shared his experience through a video log, making this spot a significant location for BTS fans. Since then, many fans have visited Oryukdo, retracing Jimin's steps and taking photos at the same spot where he filmed
Gamcheon Culture Village was established on the mountainside as refugees flocked to Busan during and after the Korean War, causing the population to surge from 400,000 to 1 million. Today, Gamcheon Culture Village is known as the "Santorini of Korea" or the "Machu Picchu of Busan," filled with brightly colored houses and artistic creations. The village features murals and sculptures created by artists, offering a visual delight for visitors. This village holds a special place for BTS fans. Murals of Jimin and Jungkook are located within the village, allowing fans to follow in their footsteps and enjoy taking photos at these popular spots
Busan Citizens Park is a significant location for BTS fans, particularly due to its association with V (Kim Taehyung). V visited the park in June 2019 during BTS's "5th Muster" fan meeting in Busan. He shared photos of his visit on social media, which quickly went viral among ARMYs (BTS's fan club). This led to the creation of a dedicated photo zone within the park, known as "V Road," where fans can take pictures at the exact spot V did. The park itself is one of the largest in Busan, offering a variety of attractions such as walking paths, water features, and art installations. It used to be a US military base known as Camp Hialeah until it was transformed and opened to the public in 2014.
Magnate is a popular café in Busan that holds a special connection to BTS, particularly to Jimin. This café is owned by Jimin's father, which has made it a must-visit spot for BTS fans, also known as ARMY. The café is decorated with various memorabilia, including Jimin’s hat collection. Fans often visit Magnate to enjoy the cozy atmosphere, delicious pastries, and beverages, while feeling a closer connection to Jimin and his family. The café has become a symbolic place where fans can gather, share their love for BTS, and enjoy a piece of Jimin's personal history.
