Imjingak is a key peace tourism site in South Korea, reflecting the tragic legacy of the Korean War and the ongoing division. It offers a chance to learn the importance of peace through historical remnants like war monuments and displays such as the war-damaged bridge. Visitors can also find the Mangbaedan, a place where displaced families perform ancestral rites while longing for their relatives in the North. Your guide will also inform you about a significant milestone in Korean political history that occurred in the year 2000.

The Imjingak Peace Gondola is the first gondola connecting civilian areas with the restricted zone. It operates a round trip of 1.7 km between Imjingak in the south and the DMZ station across the Imjin River. Riding at a height of 50 meters, visitors can enjoy scenic views of the river and reflect on the horrors of the Korean War. There are 26 gondolas continuously running between the southern Imjingak Station and the northern DMZ Station. Additionally, during this tour, your guide will share insights about the Korean Army’s front-line combat division responsible for monitoring the DMZ boundary.

Experience a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to visit a frontline Korean Army combat division dedicated to guarding the DMZ. After a thorough ID check, visitors are escorted directly by vehicle to the observation post, just 10 minutes away, accompanied by active-duty soldiers. Due to the strict verification process, we kindly ask that during your booking, you provide the exact name, date of birth, and nationality as they appear on each visitor’s passport for all participants. This is necessary for pre-registration at least one week prior to your visit. Once there, you will receive an exclusive briefing on the history and current situation from frontline soldiers, observe enemy positions through powerful telescopes, and engage in direct conversations with officers or non-commissioned officers.

[OPTIONAL] Discover a fascinating piece of Korean history right by the Han River. This old military camp was once where soldiers stood guard to prevent North Korean spies from entering via the river. After 2018, the military left, some of the fences were removed, and a popular bike path was established along the river. Today, the camp has been transformed into a museum that tells the stories of past military operations and showcases what life was like for soldiers. It’s a great way to learn about Korea’s history and see how the country protected itself in the past. If you're interested in history, adventure, or simply looking for a unique photo spot, this place is a must-visit. Explore Korea’s past and enjoy the beautiful riverside scenery!
