About This Place
Nestled at the foothills of Ansan Mountain, a natural resting area in the city, Seodaemun Museum of Natural History is the first natural history museum in the nation to be established by a government agency. Opened on July 10, 2003, the museum offers various opportunities to experience and learn about the environment. It also provides the chance to interact with animals and plants, teaching the value of life.

Closed Days
Mondays (closed the following day if Monday is a public holiday), January 1, the day of Seollal (Lunar New Year's Day) & Chuseok (Korean Thanksgiving Day)
Admission Fee
Individuals – Adults 6,000 won / Teenagers 3,000 won / Children 2,000 won
Groups – Adults 4,800 won / Teenagers 2,400 won / Children 1,600 won
* Adults (ages 19-64) / Teenagers (ages 13-18) / Children (ages 5-12)
* Groups: 20 or more people
* Free admission: Senior citizens (ages 65 & over), preschoolers (ages 4 & under)
Parking Fee
Large vehicles (20 passengers or more): 5,000 won for the first two hours / 1,000 won for every additional 10 minutes
Small vehicles: 3,000 won for the first two hours / 500 won for every additional 10 minutes
Compact vehicles & low-emission cars: 50% discount
